The food and drink menus we offer are all shaped by the seasons, inspired by the landscape, and served with a sense of ease. Sip a cocktail on the Terrace, tuck-into our delicious Brasserie menu, experience 7-courses of fine dining in Malvern’s only 3AA Rosette restaurant: 1919, or simply relax in the Lounge bar with a coffee and a natter with a friend. There is no itinerary, no agenda – just space to enjoy the great food, good company and stunning views.
The Brasserie
Lunch: Wednesday – Saturday 12pm – 2pm
Sunday Lunch: 12:30pm – 2:30pm
Dinner: Everyday 6pm – 8.45pm
The Brasserie is our new relaxed dining space, offering elegant, seasonal dishes that showcase local and British ingredients in their best light. Choose from our à la carte menu or indulge in a thoughtfully crafted 5-course tasting menu—expect generous plates, bold flavours, and food designed to be savoured in a setting that feels effortlessly welcoming.

Opening this May, the 1919 Tasting Room offers a fresh expression of fine dining at The Cottage in the Wood. With a seven-course tasting menu crafted by our Head Chef and team, the experience is curated, creative, and deeply rooted in seasonality. Intimate and elevated, it’s designed for those who appreciate precision, passion and a few surprises along the way.
Afternoon Tea
Wednesday – Sunday, 3pm – 4:30pm
Afternoon Tea is a quintessential part of our history. The Cottage in the Wood Malvern originally opened as Tea Rooms in 1919, and we still serve the best Afternoon Tea in Malvern – complete with stunning views across the Severn Valley.
Join us on the Terrace or in The Brasserie for our traditional and elegant Afternoon Tea, perfect for a celebration with family or simply as a glorious treat with friends.
The Lounge Bar
Everyday till late.
For something more informal, the Lounge Bar is open daily for drinks, light bites and easy conversation. Sink into the sofa with a coffee, sip something sparkling as the sun goes down, or enjoy a cocktail with sweeping views from Malvern Hills.
The Terrace

Our heated and covered Terrace is a year-round option for outside dining and drinking, offering the chance to enjoy an alfresco meal in comfort. Sip a glass of wine or a cocktail with friends or enjoy a tasty sandwich, steak or burger – all served with spectacular views and nature all around.
