Make your own elegant hat for the horse races at The Cottage in the Wood Malvern this April 2019.
Get ahead this horse racing season by creating your own beautiful hat at an exclusive millinery course led by award-winning designer Lisa Von Hallwyl at The Cottage in the Wood, Malvern, on 2 and 8 April.
These two millinery courses are back by popular demand following the sold out event in 2019, and will provide the ideal opportunity to plan your stylish outfit in advance, with a show-stopping head piece taking centerstage for a day at the races. Having created designs for royal events and celebrities, voted the best in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and as seen in Vogue and Tatler, Lisa’s exceptional skill and knowledge will help to create a bespoke design that reflects your personality and style.
Limited to just six attendees, the workshops will ensure personal, hands on attention whilst you use creativity and acquired skill to craft your ideal hat. Groups looking for a personal course can also enquire for bespoke sessions to be arranged at the hotel for additional dates.
Beginning at 9:30am, refreshments will be provided throughout the morning, ahead of a two-course lunch which will be served at 1:30pm, an opportune moment to compare designs and take a well-earned break in the hotel’s 1919 restaurant. Dine on dishes made with locally foraged ingredients, offering a wealth of complex flavours against the spectacular panoramic views of the Severn Valley.
Experience the ‘Introduction to Millinery’ workshop on 2 April, from £125pp, or the ‘Saucer Headpiece’ workshop on 8 April from £135pp. Both will include materials and instruction from Lisa Von Hallwyl, a two-course lunch, and refreshments. Those looking to extend the experience are welcomed to stay at the hotel in their newly-designed rooms from £49.50 per night including breakfast (two sharing).
For groups of six or more, exclusive dates are available to book by contacting the hotel.
