As the season draws to a close, our mixologist Xenie has created a selection of sensational cocktails using wines and liqueurs from our local suppliers, including Elgar Wines from Lovells Vineyard, named after the musical Malvern native, and Cotswolds Distillery, to quench your thirst in our 1919 Bar & Lounge.
Try our signatures, created specifically for you and inspired by our heritage and beautiful setting.
The Cottage View, created to celebrate our panoramic vista over the Cotswolds and Severn Valley, mixes Amaretto with Crème de Fraise de Bois, offering a fresh yet refined serve. The Bumbling Cello includes tart Limoncello and Chase marmalade vodka, paired with bumbleberry juice and herbaceous Chartreuse Green Liqueur for a rich dessert-like flavour. The Montenegro Twist is for those who like to try something new. With botanical Amaro Montenegro, saffron-infused Liquor Strega and aniseed-y Kummel Wolfschmidt, the floral citrus mix comes with an extraordinary spirited kick.
Sip on scintillating sparklers, such as the Hugo, with Elgar English sparkling wine, elderflower gin and liqueur, fresh mint and lime, or the zingy Raspberry Air Mail, mixing Bacardi Carta Oro with lime, honey, Crème de Framboise and Champagne, ideal for toasting a summer’s evening.
Have a Martini your way with our expert mixologists twisting and shaking to create your perfect serve, or try our alternatives to the classic with variations including the Pink Martini with Chase grapefruit gin, the Martinez, with Luxardo Maraschino and Angostura Bitters, or the Espresso Martini with Moskovskaya vodka and Kahlua.
Cocktail traditionalists can savour the Pina Colada, Singapore Sling and Tom Collins, or taste innovative creations like the Eastern Standard with Edinburgh gin, cucumber, lime and soda, or a Chilli Mary with an extra kick added to the classic Bloody sister.
For those seeking a more refreshing drink, sample our range of mocktails, from morning energizers like the Mango Sunrise, with orange, mango and grenadine, and Early Riser, with Seedlip Grove, cranberry and blackberry, to sunset downers such as the Virgin Hugo with Seedlip Garden, elderflower and mint, and Raspberry Nojito, with raspberry, lime and soda.
Whatever your preference, our newly launched menu offers a variety of tipples to suit every occasion. Join us at the 1919 Bar & Lounge to sample one our creations on your next visit to The Cottage in the Wood.
