Step into a world of autumn as The Cottage in the Wood Malvern delights in ‘The Taste of September’, inspired by the beloved song ‘September’ by Earth, Wind & Fire.
Earth, Wind, and Fire elements have been paired in a bespoke trio of cocktails to fully satisfy the senses.
Inspired by ‘Earth’ is a Mocktail Mojito with fresh and crisp mint leaves representing the leaves of autumn, whilst The Dark and Stormy cocktail represents a breezy autumn day. The Smoky Manhattan captures the warming and soothing nature of a wood fire – the perfect accompaniment for a September evening – enjoyed with a spectacular view of the Severn Valley from the hotel terrace.
The taste of September has also been embraced by Head Chef Rob Mason and his team where the hotel’s 1919 Restaurant offers guests a seven-course tasting menu packed with autumnal flavours promising a seasonal sensory journey using exceptional local produce.
Rob incorporates foraged, naturally sourced ingredients into every menu, playing homage to local earthy and grounded vegetables. Seasonal foods including squash, truffles and blackberries offer darker and richer textures emulating the changing season from summer to autumn, embracing the spirit of the golden month.
September is a fabulous month to visit the Malverns and enjoy the changing colours of the hills and possibly even drop into the Three Counties Autumn Show 22nd-24th September.
